Home Research Message From the Research Dean Welcome to the Faculty of Education research information pages. As a large Faculty of Education in a research led University, we have developed a thriving research culture that offers a stimulating and productive environment for staff and students. This is manifested in:
We offer a variety of research programmes for postgraduate students, ranging from the PhD and MPhil to professional doctorates in Educational Psychology (DEdPsy), Education (EdD), and Counselling (DCouns), and the Master of Science (MSc) in Educational Research. Registrations for these programmes for the current academic year 2002-2003 total 199 students and we intend to increase these numbers. Academic staff are, therefore, very happy to discuss any research proposal or potential project, and the Faculty Admissions Office offers further advice on methods of application to all our postgraduate courses. The Faculty was recently restructured into the following five Research and Teaching Groups (RTGs). Further information about each group, including the names and research interests of members of staff and current research projects is listed in the web pages for each RTG:
