Language and Literacy Studies

Teresa O'Brien Senior Lecturer in Education (TESOL)

I joined the staff in the Faculty of Education in 1979 and I currently teach on Master's programmes and act as Co-ordinator for our research students. My teaching areas are: Course Design and Evaluation, Teaching Writing Skills, Classroom Research and Language and Context. 
 
My research interests are: teaching writing skills, literacy in higher education and practice-based research.  (See publications below) 

I am the current Membership Secretary of BAAL  (British Association for Applied Linguistics)
