Management and Institutional Development

Introduction

This research group focuses on the policies and practices that foster individual and organisational development, in both education systems and the leisure sector. There are opportunities for research supervision in a range of areas including school leadership and management, continuing professional development, middle management roles, school improvement programmes, evaluation of school and teacher development strategies and leisure management. The group also provides taught programmes in Leadership and Management and a professional Doctorate in Education.

The Management and Institutional Development Group also incorporates both the Centre for Educational Leadership (CEL) and the Centre for Formative Assessment Studies (CFAS) both of which have web sites of their own with links to these sites available in the menu to the left
